Tips for planting:

• Cover the base 10 cm high with a layer of around 35 mm pebbles.
• Place a permeable anti-root cloth over the pebbles.
• Cover this with a suitable soil for your plants.

Note: The planter is delivered without a rust patina. This will develop on its own over 4-5 months, depending on the weather conditions and location. To speed up the process, the planter can be treated with a rust accelerator.
The application of Owatrol removes rust and prevents the corten steel from discolouring.

Please note:

• Unpack the product immediately upon receipt. Leaving it packaged can lead to uneven rust formation due to moisture trapped between the packaging and the item.
• Always ensure good drainage.
• Do not use an overflow pipe and make sure that no excess water remains in the planter to prevent it from rusting through.
• Do not use hydro pellets as these retain moisture.
• Do not use the planter within 2 km of a coastline.
• Failure to drill or sand down as per the instructions will invalidate the guarantee.
